"Isis" Cafe & Grill is named after the ancient Egyptian goddess Isis. Revered in ancient Egypt, Isis was a powerful mother-goddess whose worship spread throughout the Greco-Roman Empire. Isis was regarded as the ideal wife, as well as the matron of nature and magic. Isis was considered a friend to slaves, sinners, artisans, and the downtrodden, and she listened to the prayers of the prayers of the wealthy, maidens, aristocrats, ruler, and all those who happened to walk in her presence.
